for grandma..

over the years my grandma has been giving me a piece or two of her Christmas village set. And in our house I have a spot to put them all...granted its kind of high up but this way I can enjoy them and not worry about the kids getting into them. here are a few pictures. -
my favorite piece...a castle.

on either side of our stockings are a beautiful carriage with horses and a skating scene

..the village street.

more snow... apparently it just keeps coming, and coming...

~ SNOW CASTLE!! ~

Trent loves making things...so yesterday (Nov. 26th) Trent went and shoveled the driveway, while the kids were playing in the snow. a little while later he comes and tells me to look outside....Well it's not quite a 'sand car'..but it's fun and the kids are having a great time with it.

...and today with all the new snow, Trent and the kids starting making another castle on the other side of the driveway so they can have a snowball war with the "castles."
our neighbor friends, Carson, and Audrey have LOVED playing with them. :)
Good Job Trent!

Christmas Tree

Yesterday the 26th we went to Carver Farms to get pick and cut down our Christmas tree. Luckily it was about 35 degree's outside so it wasn't to cold. It was snowing though and the kids had a great time! Then we headed home to decorate.

in the car ready to go...

Jordan is so excited! We realized yesterday was the first day she had ever played in the snow.

the kids and I on the hayride out to pick out our tree.

Trent and the kids on the hayride

We found the perfect tree!!!

Trent let me cut the very end to say I chopped it down :)

picking a tree is hard work...

Carson, Jordan and I started decorating our tree...Trent was putting our christmas lights up on the outside of the house...and Audrey...well she decided she was tired and went to bed. (I saved her a few to put up in the morning.)

cousin reunion

I have been amazingly blessed to have 25 cousins. and for the most part we are all really close. With grandpa's passing 23 of the 26 cousins were able to come to Washington for the funeral. and on Sunday afternoon all 23 of those cousins, spouses as well as aunts, uncles and great grandchildren and a dog were all at grandma's house. I forgot to bring out the camera until a lot of people were gone, but here is a glimpse...I know my uncle and one of my aunts were also taking pictures I'll have to get copies of those. :) and we did manage to get one big group shot right after the funeral of all 63 family members who were there.

Thank you grandpa and grandma for finding eachother and starting this fantastic legacy.

Jordan and Eve were soo stinkin cute together, and the fun thing was looking through pictures and seeing a picture of Lauren (eve's aunt)and I doing the same thing in the same kitchen at the same age. I'm going to have to get a copy of that picture from you grandma :)

Audrey found her long lost best friend...(great)Uncle Franky. you'd think she'd known him for ever. Uncle Franky, I'm going to take you up on that offer of when she's old enough I'll send her to you for a week...maybe a month :) as we were leaving Grandma's on Monday night, Audrey said she missed uncle Franky already. Hope to see you again soon Franky!

the kitchen where it was pretty much an open buffett all day long for three days.

Disney on Ice

On November 19th we took the kids to Disney on Ice. We all had a great time, two and a half hours of Disney charecters skating, singing and dancing through songs. I loved the "villian dance" where all the villians came out. We will for sure be taking the kids again :)

Toward the end Santa even came to visit :)

Audrey loved when the Mickey dressed up like a wizard and made all the brooms dance around and there was even brooms dancing from the ceiling.

This is how Jordan watched most of the show...

Carson's favorite part was anytime a Prince lifted a Princess up and twirled around.

Yes we broke down and got the kids popcorn. and can you guess how much the dang box cost??

The kids and I waiting for the show to start!!

Visiting

While we were in the Harbor, Audrey was able to go to her "best friends" joint birthday party. It was such a cute party and I'm glad the girls were able to spend a little bit of time together. and Carson was able to spend the party time with his best friend Ty (they have been playing together since Carson was 5 months old) and of course, I didn't mind at all seeing my girlie's as well. :)
- see you guys at Christmas!

Thanksgiving 'early' day

Here are a few pictures from our fabulous Thanksgiving dinner
(Mom, it was all amazing!)

I have to add this picture because Jared announced while we were eating that Lisa and him are getting married!
I'm so excited for both of them and am so excited to have Lisa and her kids apart of the family .--can't wait till Christmas. Congrats Jared and Lisa!!
