coming to a pot near you!

yes, it's going to happen....

Spring break here is in two weeks, and our fabulous plans include potty training Jordan. Sounds fun huh?

spring!

I am VERY hopeful that spring has finally come. Time to pack away the snow gear deep in the storage closet. and bring out the short sleeve shirts and sandals....ahh.
Friday night we decided we would go pick out a grill on Saturday and maybe take the kids on a walk or bike ride. ...we'll sadly we woke up to snow but decided to get our grill anyway and then had the sister missionaries over for lunch and by that time it was getting nicer outside so we took the kids swimming then came home to grill up a Salmon while listening to the Gonzaga/BYU game (yes dad, you read that right.) it was still a little chilly, but nothing we couldn't handle.
Welcome Spring!

the girls playing in the afternoon sun (yes, with coats on)

the bright light shinning on us is the sun. :)

Carson still says its still to cold to go out.

Trent, doing his thing, which I might add was really tasty
(we even brought out our table and umbrella, I told you, we are serious.)
Yum!
(no...that's no a ton of butter on that....it's chunks of seasoning :) )

What are you doing to get ready for Spring??

one special kid!

I was looking through some pictures the other day and realized I have TONS of pictures of the girls and not so many of Carson (probably cause he's never getting into trouble which is most of the pictures of Jordan).

the other day I received a very fun phone call from his school, the office lady just wanted to tell me how great Carson is, that he is always nice to everyone and follows all the rules, and she had been on the bus that day riding with all the kids and wanted me to know how much she appreciated Carson.... and...and...and... she went on and on about what a great kid he is and how I should be so greatful that he is that way.

the following day he came home with a certificate so I finally took a picture of him with it so I could show him off. :)

Carson is a great boy, a fabulous helper, an amazing artist and lego creator, nice to everyone and just a fun kid to be around.

We love this boy!!

Audrey is in a dance class that will have a recital in May and so March means picture time. Today I took her to get her group picture shot and before we left she wanted to "pose" for Trent. Here is the outcome :)

and here is when she is getting her group shot...I snuck a few while the photographer was doing something else :)

Mia, Aubrey, Sammy, Danielle, Payton, Sammy, Audrey, Claire, Emma
Aren't they cute!

Tangled

We found out that spokane has a dollar theatre and so we took the family today to see Tangled and the kids LOVED it!

I loved being able to take the whole family to the movies for the price of one adult ticket!

being a light weight dosen't work at the movies :)

We will deffinetly be doing that again soon.

girls night

Carson was invited to a friends house for an after school "boy party", so I asked if I could trade Carson for her daughter. Audrey is currently sitting at the table with her friend Sarah eating strawberry shortcake and playing with princess dolls and Jordan is just following the two of them around.

playing with paper dolls

The weather was perfect today so the girls were able to play outside.

After devoring their homemade pizza's they went running around playing tag

it's so fun to have some un-interuppted girl time.

gotta run, I promised the girls they could watch a strawberry shortcake movie

some things never change....

I have to laugh a little as I write this.
I've recently been attending our local gym's water aerobic class. and I LOVE it!! Seriously LOVE it! I am the youngest person in the class with the oldest (I think) man just turned 88 (they meet once a month and celebrate their birthdays).
I have always thought after high school people grow up a little...just a tad right? I was wrong. :)
This aerobics class has about 30 or so people that attend, its actually through a community college and I just bum along. As I'm taking the class you can look around and immedietly point out the "popular group" the "over-achievers" the "teachers pets" the "loners" (which is usually me :) ) the "class clowns" and "the nice kids" . It's been really fun to watch and see these people who are mostly retired, have grand kids and some have great-grand kids act this way.
It's a great way to start the day, and I'm usually really sore the next day!

Trent's birthday weekend

We went to visit my parents this past weekend, originally Trent and I were going to get away together in April and plans changed and we can't go anymore soooo we decided for Trent's birthday to head to my parents, Trent had to be in Olympia talking with some people for work and so we all went early.

We were able to do a bunch of fun things while we were there,
I was able to see one of my closest friends and her brand new baby..so sweet!(I brought my camera but forgot to take it out...dang!)
I was able to go to another close friends baby shower, her family just adopted a sweet little baby girl.(I did get a picture of her baby but it wasn't a good one.)
so much fun!
We first when to our families favorite place, Borders. they are closing and we all are sad about it.
(if you zoom into the picture, they are all making sad faces)
:(

We went to Kinza with my parents for Trent's birthday dinner and my parents gave Trent this awesome sweatshirt..we are all a little envious. it says "Dead Man's Island" on it. (that's the name of the little island next to my where my parents live.)

..that's Trent saying he's now 32....

Trent and I got to go on two fabulous-ly long date nights.. Thanks MOM!!

We went and saw Rango and then we went and saw my cousin Lauren in a play"Texarkansa Walkz" Way to go Lauren!! and then went to dessert with Lauren and my other cousin Micheal and his amazing wife Monika (sadly I never got a picture with them....next time!)

We went to the beach and played

and then we had to say goodbye and drive home...

It was good to see everyone.
Until next time!~
