This is one of those "Friday confessionals" but on Wednesday. :)
The past couple days I have been feeling a little.....sorry for myself. I was missing friends in the Harbor and feeling down that I might (yes mom, I said might I still haven't decided yet) not be able run the half marathon I'm training for. (not that I like running to begin with, but I was finally feeling like I had a "place" with some people in the area, and the thought of not being involved with them, and having that to "connect" us, kills me.)
so....
Last night as I was heading to bed after a fun yw's 'spa' activity and then a friend and I talking until midnight I was thinking about how grateful I am for all that I have. I have a great relationship with a loving, involved husband. I have three healthy, beautiful, active kids who each love life and have a deep understanding of what 'family' means. I have parents that are so supportive and involved and willing to do anything at anytime. In laws that are very loving and supportive. I live in a beautiful area that we feel safe in. we have a great house in a great neighborhood that's close to everything. We are able to run/bike/roller blade/walk to just about everything from the store-library-school-church-parks and more parks. My kids all have great friends that they love being with and playing with. We have a huge ward that again is all close in proximity and I am SOO lucky to work with the young women that I get to work with.
So with that in mind. I'm starting today off right. Happy attitude and just continuing to remember all the things I am grateful for. :)
What are YOU grateful for?
I'm grateful for YOU! We'll for sure find something else to do if you can't run. I love you, friend!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Checked out the house on Samantha...not worth it--even for us, which is saying a lot!
I am grateful to have a friend like you that is so amazing and REAL. Thanks for being a wonderful example and friend to all those around you.

ReplyDeleteLet's try that again...
ReplyDeleteI would like to second what Jenny and Ashley said. I am thankful for you, Sarah. I'm so glad you moved here and that I've become good friends with you. I haven't had close friends for a long, long time. I tell Nate all the time how great I think you are. You're such a good, fun, no-drama person, and I really admire you. Thanks for being my friend.
And Sarah, you will always be MY best friend.
