Birthday fun!!

Carson wanted to decorate his own cake this year, we looked at a bunch of cake pictures until he knew what he wanted...a volcano cake with dinasours and cave men on it. We went in search of dinasours and cave men and came back with army guys instead.......

He LOVED his finished product :) (the licorice is the lava 'spewing' out of the volcano)

Grandma and Grandpa

A week and a half ago we were lucky enough to have Trent's parents in town. They leave this week to go on a mission to Singapore so it was a little bitter-sweet that they came.

Home-pre-schooling.

When we moved, we found out that all the pre-schools in the area were filled and already had long wait lists. After a few days of thinking and looking into every option (even putting Audrey into a fit-preschool at our local gym just so she could have something-even that was full.) I spent a few hours one night looking into home-school for preschool and I came upon this program called Star-Brite. I sent in for a sample, it came and Audrey and I are loving the program. (granted it is for groups of 1-3 or more) but we love it (and I'm already planning on using the extra material for rainy days or conference type activities.)
Again I put them all in reverse order..you'd think I'd get the hang of it all by now. )

*she's not having fun at all....

*busy working on her project....

* it comes with everyday planned for me, down to snack time and break time, I can't go wrong with that!....

* and it all comes to me in a fabulous box all ready to go, each day lesson plan, activities and materials. (including a calender and "professor Weather Owl" that she gets to decide what the weather is and dress the owl appropriately.)

Oh dear.... good news here, my cupboard are VERY clean on the inside and out at this point.

saying goodbye

I have a bunch of other pictures of me packing up the house and saying goodbye to a few other friends but they are on my other camera and the cord that goes to that camera has yet to appear, so while I wait for the camera cord here are a few of the kids and their buddies...



and can I just add...this picture seriously breaks my heart...he didn't want to leave his buddy Sydney, they have know eachother for a long time.

First day of Kindergarten

After a crazy first couple days at the new house, we FINALLY got word that Carson could go to kindergarten. He rides a bus with just him and the bus driver in the afternoon for most of the ride and loves it. there are a TON of kids in the area so they actually have a seperate "Kindergarten Campus" we are still waiting to hear if he can go there...until then he LOVEs bus driver Lauri that takes him to his school.
